Year R Parent Workshop

Thank you to all parents who attended our Year R "Pip and Pap" workshop at OLSJ School in Lymington! In this session, parents and children read the book "Tisp and the rockets," where Tisp gets lost! Luckily, Kom the cop is there to save the day!

The book focuses on the grapheme-phoneme correspondences /ck/ /u/ /r/ and /e/ - and children sounded out and blended words such as 'rockets', 'truck', 'Gran', 'inspects' and 'tickets'. They read superbly!

Parents and children then made their own shiny 'Kom the cop' badges, using tinfoil and cardboard. Thank you so much for your participation, we are glad you have enjoyed the sessions.
