Year R Parent Workshop

Year R parents and children worked together today to read the last of the Orange Phase books in the Pip and Pap series - "The Lost Doll!" 

This book focused on the grapheme-phoneme correspondences /h/ /b/ /f/ /ff/ /l/ /ll/ /ss/ and double consonants.

Children successfully blended and read words such as "doll", "mess," "still," "cross," "black", "scrub" and "helps" within full sentences.

They then created 'split pin' dolls with their parents - aren't they fantastic?
