Year R Parent Workshop

Year R parents at Our Lady joined their children for another Pip and Pap Workshop, this time reading Orange Phase Book 21 "Tennis" together! The book focuses on the grapheme-phoneme correspondences /h/ /b/ /f/ /l/ /ff/ /ll/ /ss/ and other double consonants. Children were able to sound out and blend words such as "bus", "huffs", "lesson," "press", "fun," and "cross."

Pupils and parents then worked together to make their own tennis rackets!
